What are the benefits of the project development model?
The model of project development with Alter Solutions Nearshore Portugal is useful whenever the company wants to implement a project limited in time and expertise but does not have sufficient capacity or know-how in the internal organization. In that case Alter Solutions Nearshore Portugal puts together a dedicated project team and takes care of the implementation of the project. After the completion of the project, the team disbands again and dedicates itself to new tasks.
Do my contact persons speak German?
Yes, this is always guaranteed. If desired, a German-speaking expert can also take over the leadership of your team.
Is it possible to sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Absolutely! We are always ready to sign a non-disclosure agreement in advance of the cooperation. We are happy to provide our standard or use NDAs from you.
In which time zone do our IT experts work?
With regard to our locations in Portugal and Morocco, our employees work in the „Greenwich Mean Time“ time zone, which is also standard time in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. As Portugal is the most westerly country in Europe, it has the unique advantage that the time difference to most European countries is very small (-1 hour to Germany, Austria and Switzerland). This in turn allows the teams to integrate into our customers‘ processes and procedures during normal business hours. The same applies to our location in Morocco. There is no time difference at all for our customers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to our location in Poland.
What are the benefits of the end-to-end team model?
An end-to-end team with Alter Solutions Nearshore Portugal can be a valuable addition to an IT organization. An end-to-end team takes responsibility for the entire life cycle or a sub-process (e.g., development only or support and maintenance only) of an IT system. An end-to-end team builds up enormous expertise on the respective life cycle, acts predominantly autonomously and thus creates immense new capacities for the company, as valuable internal experts can be assigned to other tasks.
Who exactly is my contractual partner?
The contractual partner for our customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is Alter Solutions Deutschland GmbH, headquartered in Düsseldorf. All contracts and other legal agreements are concluded between the customer and Alter Solutions Deutschland GmbH. The contract language is German (English on request) and the place of jurisdiction is in Germany.
Can I visit my team in your offices?
You are always more than welcome. We very much appreciate it when our customers visit us at our locations in Lisbon, Porto, Warsaw or Casablanca and work side by side with our teams.
Can my team visit me at one of my locations?
Yes, of course. Your team can travel to your location in Europe at any time, e.g. for onbaording, workshops or other important appointments.
How can I be sure that the IT experts have the experience and knowledge I need for my requirements?
Our IT recruiting team starts a standardized process for each selection process, based on a large, international candidate pool and in-depth interviews to determine the candidates‘ skills, from know-how to soft and hard skills. Once a shortlist has been established, clients are involved in the selection process to determine whether our IT experts and developers have the desired skills and experience. Only then is the final selection made and our IT experts or team assigned to the client project.
What is the standard for communication between our team and your team?
We really like to work with Slack or MS Teams in our daily communication. For phone calls and video conferences, we rely on Zoom and MS Teams. Depending on the complexity of the collaboration, tools like Jira and Confluence can also be used.
